Our move to ARIZONA!

December 3rd we packed up our little one bedroom apartment and on December 4th we were on our way to The Valley of the Sun!

It's a different world out here, that's for sure. Some days I feel like I stick out like a sore thumb with my country accent and hankering for sweet tea and some days I feel like I'm on vacation. It's the most beautiful place I've ever seen, I feel so blessed to be able to live in such a beautiful environment!
The people, um, not to crazy about. A bit to snobby for me. I get the feeling that that words "excuse me" and "hello" are not taught growing up. But maybe I just had a bad few encounters. I am staying optimistic!

I don't think anyone can deny how much Ethan & Roman look alike. We must get stopped 10 times a day by people who think it's their duty to tell us how much Ro looks like him. ..THANK YOU, I know! I did all the work and he looks NOTHING like me!!

The day my LIFE started:)

July 25, 2010 ..one word, unreal.

After 7 hours of labor and 30 minutes of fighting with the nurse that he was coming, I gave birth to a 7lb 14oz little nugget. He was the most precious, loud, swollen little thing I had ever laid eyes on!

I thought I was so prepared for his arrival but come to find out I don't think anyone is, no matter how many books you read or classes you take, you'll never be as ready as you think you are. I had a rough few weeks adjusting to everything. Who am I kidding, I had a rough 6 months. New baby, no sleep, bills, family drama, moving across country, finding a new job, etc. It was hard, BUT WE MADE IT!! Praise God! He who brings you to it will bring you through it & my days are sunny now!:)

Getting Started!

I've had an overwhelming amount of people both here in Arizona and in Virginia asking for more pictures of Roman now that I got rid of my Facebook. Seeing that we are so far away from our loved ones in VA I wanted to give a chance for everyone to see every step he takes, literally.
